Before anyone arrives

The first minutes of a plumbing emergency

Water damage grows for as long as the water runs. These steps are general guidance for any home, and none of them replaces calling a plumber.

  1. Shut off the waterTurn the main valve at the house clockwise until it stops, or a quarter turn if it has a lever handle. A single leaking fixture may have its own stop valve beneath it.
  2. Keep people and electronics clearDo not stand in water near outlets, appliances or the electrical panel. Move people, pets and valuables out of the wet area.
  3. Stop using the affected fixturesDo not flush, run the dishwasher or the washer, or use drains that are backing up. More water only adds to the spill.
  4. Water heater leaking? If the heater itself is leaking, set a gas unit to off or pilot, or switch an electric one off at its breaker, and close the cold-water valve on top of it.
  5. Smell gas? Leave firstIf you smell gas, leave the building and call the gas company or 911 from outside. Do not call us first, and do not use light switches on the way out.
  6. Photograph it, then callTake photos or video of the water and the damage for your insurance, then call (424) 610-9522. Say what you have shut off and where the water is coming from.

What we handle

Six services, one phone number

Emergency Plumbing

A plumbing emergency is any leak, flood or backup that keeps getting worse until someone stops it. The first visit is about stopping the water and making the property safe, then finding what failed, so the repair that follows is planned instead of guessed.

Leak Detection and Repair

Leak detection means finding where water is escaping before cutting into anything. Once the leak is located, the repair can be as small as one fitting or a short section of pipe, and the opening in the wall or floor stays as small as the repair allows.

Pipe Repair and Replacement

Pipe repair fixes a failed section: a split, a bad joint or a pinhole. Pipe replacement is for lines that have worn out as a whole. Which one a home needs depends on the pipe material, its age and condition, and how many places have already failed.

Drain Cleaning and Sewer Lines

Drain cleaning clears the blockage in a single fixture line or in the main line that carries everything out to the sewer. When a drain keeps clogging, a camera inspection shows what is inside the pipe, so the fix addresses the cause and not just the symptom.

Water Heater Services

Water heater service covers repairing a heater that has stopped working, replacing one that has reached the end of its life and installing a new unit. Whether to repair or replace depends on its age, on what failed and on whether the tank itself is leaking.

Toilets, Faucets and Showers

Fixture work covers repairing toilets and faucets that leak, run or flush poorly, installing new ones, and installing showers. Most repairs are a worn part, and an installation depends on the fixture fitting the room, the supply lines and the drain behind it.
